im looking for a longer pair of shocks for the rear of my swb GV since my raised 30mm pair are bottoming out with my 60mm lift. i was thinking about using a pair of commodore shocks but im worried they might be to long for the 60mm lift and il have hassles with my spring dropping out. also what model commodore shocks are they best to use? cheers |

tried bumpstop extensions? OME have a listing for bumpstop extensions on the GV's i've used VL & VR commonwhore shocks & they are MASSIVE, i know on the vitara you will need to change the roll sleeve that is in the bottom of the shock as the comodore bolt hole is alot smaller. top shock is VL commodore middle shock is calmini bottom shock is stock

yes, your coils will drop out. the extreme shocks are the same length as the calmini shocks and i pair them with a 3inch coil and a 25mm spacer so that the coil does not drop out. when i was running 60mm i took out the ome and stuck in the dobinson shocks as they were 10mm longer, i then threw a large nut ontop of the shock tower then the mounts which dropped the lowest point by 12mm. gain drop but loose up travel. |
