Today my mate bought a secondhand set of kumho muddies that are mega worm on a set of 15x7 (i think) sunny for 45$ ea, but he didn't realize that they don't really fit his wheel arches that great.

Is it illegal to cut his front bumper up a little, and knock the panel back with a hammer (closest to the door)?

Also, i've seen a lotta people using garden edging for flares. Is this road legal?

Cheers,
Alex

i believe the garden edging is fine to use... they even have mentioned it in 4wd action magazine. as for cutting the bumpers, i dont think its fine. i have done that with my jimny and its not been an issue. It cant be seen from just looking at it though. Just make sure it looks neat and it should be fine

by the way mate, i got a mate down in portland, so might be heading down there in the near future... fancy a wheel?

Ah ok. Gunna have a look at his car in the morning sometime and see what we can do.

If ya don't mind me asking, who is ya mate and what's he drive? Few big cars getting around here, but they've grated one of the better tracks here.
Depending how my car is and when, id probably be keen
