Anyone got any updates on kits available or anything for twin transfer sticks? Havent heard anything in a while. I think im gonna need em with twin lockers. |

I remember there was a mod you can do by cutting down two transfer sticks, anyone remember? |

I have just done that to my car cause I'm too tight to pay for the lockdup one. Took a few hrs to get right but it's going good now |

That looks so simple at first look. But then I went and had a look at a one in my back yard and started thinking. how do you get both shafts through the lock collar without splitting it? or is there an unseen split on the back side of this picture that has been welded back together? Has anyone actualy dont this them selfs? Not just a picture off the net. Want33 did you do this? |

you could possibly take the thicker top piece off of the sticks and put them through top first?? i think its only rubber mounted. |

The one I made is exactly the same down the bottom. Only difference is with mine is I made custom levers. So basically I did all the grinding with the transfer out of the car to get it all on than I put transfer back in and bent up sticks. Pulled levers out again and welded everthing up good. Sound easy?? |

That pic is from Zuwharrie but I did mine the same.. Still haven't fitted them yet though.. 
Getting both the sticks through the collar is easy.. The trick is getting both the sticks through the spring.. It takes a fair bit of jiggling.. Because one stick ends up facing backwards it is easier to cut it off the ball part and make a new one unless you have oxy gear and can heat bend it to desired shape. The original stick will need reshaping a bit too, to move it sideways to allow room for 2nd stick. I'll put a roll pin through mine before fitting so each stick can only move forwards or backwards... NO sideways movement at all. |

OR when you have the case apart to remove the detent ball to make this mod possible you can modify the shift rods, which gives you a different shift pattern but enables you to select 2 low, 2high, 4 low, 4 high and neutral. you would then be able to use the standard SINGLE unmodified lever. |

A rear disconnect to enable front digs, while being a lot dearer and not really a DIY mod would be SO MUCH MORE beneficial. |

IF you don't have power steering, and IF you have a front locker, it can save a workout on your arms, stress in the T/case and wear and tear on the front end when doing 3 point turns in 4wd, or tight twisting sections of track. Besides that, well.......

Besides that, well....... thats prob the best reason. i dont use it as much now i have an air locked front but still use it. its good to use rear drive to slide the rear adound into a better spot. im just starting to play with my rear disconnect and that is more wank factor but has proven to be handy. i need to sort some cutting brakes but that doesnt work to well with welded rear

Used alot in comps where you are restricted by track markers and you cant go out of bounds. Its a bit like a poor mans rear steer

in comps when you got to turn and you need to reverse and turn again you just put ya front locca in and rear discconect in and turn no need for reverse peniltys

Oooo I want that TT shift setup. I've played with the evil twin and I have the centre detent ball out of my rails in readiness for a twin stick, but I now suffer from occasional popping out of gear on road. The TT setup eliminates that possibility. Steve. |

It allows you to properly carry a second stubby holder in your car. I have evil twins, but honestly have never needed 2L so far... |
