ok i have had nothing but issues with heater taps.. and the hoses that lead to them..

i am currently thinking of replacing it all with brand new taps and a brand new ball valve so i KNOW it is going to work fine..

any ideas? should i stick with the heater tap? am i doing it wrong?

Thought you packed up your bat and ball and went home......
Anyway....

Heater taps VERY RARELY give ANY dramas... Just replace it and forget about it.

Please don't clog up tech with non-tech related comments.

Jonno, I think if you replaced the tap and put new hoses on you should be good. I too haven't had roblems with heater taps. Hoses on the other hand, I have had dramas with but that could have been avoided by routinely inspecting and replacing when necessary.

the taps will seize up if they get clogged in mud a lot, a good spray of inox or something normally keeps em good

up here in qld I have many a time had some kind of non car tap in there and open the bonnet and leave it on for the 1 month a year you need a heater then shut it off the rest of the time :)

My heater tap does'nt shut off the water flow properly so the heat is always on when the fresh air is switched on. Will buy a new tap one day (when I get all my bills under friggin control), but the ball valve is a good idea

to be honest the old heater tap was stuck on 2..

i am defendant thinking a ball valve, it is starting to get cold down here again, and i will want it on 24/7.

and i KNOW a good quality ball valve wont fuck up and cost me my motor...
