hey guys ive got a baleno and the gearbox is on the way out, it owes me 2 grand. should i just take the engine out of it and put into my coily sierra? and sell the body off for 50 bucks? whats a g16b conversion usually cost? and any other info would be good cheers.

If you can do everything yourself, and you have all sorts of odds n ends lying around, you could really do it for nothing. But at a minimum i would buy BenT's adapter kit. I made my own, but after all the effort it took, i shoulda just bought it.
Do a search both here, and have a look at Outers bible, plenty of info.

yes ....

yes you should scrap it..

from what i have read it is pretty straight forward conversion. especially if using a benT adaptor kit.

$200 adapter from BenT, or $260 from the boys at the suzi store, very minimal effort required, well worth the coin

Baleno motor is great in the sierra, but if youre not confident with wiring, get someone to help who is, there is a fair bit of it involved. If it helps i made a diagram to adapt the baleno motor into a sierra that i can send ya.

Have a look at that topic. Some fairly involved info there and some links to other threads.

I am still slowly working away on mine.
