Post subject:  reinforcing alloy bullbar

hey fellas getting a winch for teh zook

just wondering wats the best way to reinforce my alloy bar so that it can be used as a winch bar?? i no welding is out of the question for my self as i cant weld alloy


just after a few pointers to do to this one till i deside on how to go about making a bar

firstly are you serious?

you would need to build a winch cradle out of steel that would sit behind the bar & bolt to the chassis & a "shep toobe" inside the front crossmember!

or you could just use some pop rivets, tech screws & cable ties

personally i would wait for a steel bar to come up, shep had a heap that he sold off way cheap.

did TJM ever mass produce that bar bruce, i'm liking the high clearance side "wings"

No mate that was a once only made one.
It was custom made from a T15 TJM bar and T13 TJM bar.
I know the guy that makes TJM bars and he made it for me. It looked great.
