Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get a big travel shock with closed length of 500mm? Looked at patrol shocks but not sure how the valving would go on a zook. Don't want to brake the bank either but don't want shit |

I run standard GQ rears in the rear of my Zook.. They are layed over so that reduces their effective damping rate and they work quite well in my car... Can't remember the open/closed lengths but it's all in my build thread. LOOK HERE

hey matey... I have 4 rancho 9000's im not using anymore (got longer ones when i did the coil conversion). They have had bugga all use.. white shockys (rancho9000X) are eye to eye. Open they are 670mm, and closed they are 440. One of them needs a spot weld, as one of the factory welds has cracked where the eye goes onto the actual body. The silver shockys (Rancho 9000XL) are eye to eye, open they are 600mm and closed they are 400mm. |

i bought some ome shocks today for a patrol but the bush ID size is massive compared the shock mount bolt on the car. what have you done with your bushes to make them fit. shocks measure 450 closed and 740 open |

450 closed must be for pootrol 2" lifted... mine are standards and are 397 closed. Sleeve the eyes with pipe and run zook size bushes. |

Place a smaller piece of pipe in the round bit on the ends of the shock. Example below... Not my pic..
