hi all, i am looking to buy a particular zook but i am a bit iffy about this one. and never owned a zook. some advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated its a '94 SWB thats done 290,000 recently replaced engine with reco engine ~5K ago the clutch was also done but i suspect wrongly. drove it today, and it really suddenly grabs at a point quite far out. horrible! i wouldnt know whats wrong. easy/cheap fix? the car is very rough but $1500 which is pretty cheap i understand for these goers. dunno if i would be getting something thats too much to get on the road, as he wants to sell unreg i would like a zook but dunno if this is worth the effort to get a road worthy. thanks again, and could be seeing all you brissy/goldy zookers out there soonish... pending. |

Spend the extra, buy a good one. It'll cost you less in the long run... |

My clutch is right at the bottom, only cause it's old and my cable is twenty years old. New clutch should pu the pedal right at the top I reckon As would a new un stretched cable. It is pretty cheap at that price anyway |

you can adjust the cable so it takes up anywhere you want!!!! if its a new HD and you arent used to it they will seem pretty aggressive, youll appreciate it when you are leaning on it on a big hill |
