The body paint on my 1990 hardtop is as thin as a politicians promise, and seeing my pockets have more spiderwebs in them than dollars, if I want to fix it i'm best to go about it myself. Suits me - I like a good DIY project.

Doesn't seem too tricky a job being such a small car, the only challenge I can't work out is how to pull the plenum off so I can paint behind it? My car is bone white, but if I respray it definitely won't be staying this colour.


How to go about this - hopefully no angle grinders involved?

By "the plenum"... Do you mean the grill at the base of the windscreen?

Paint the bit between bonnet and windscreen from outside and remove the entire dash to get to inside.
