About a month ago, I installed a brand new Exedy Tuff clutch into the zook. I've done plenty of clutches before so the process is not unfamiliar to me. The cable has been adjusted correctly, flywheel machined and both spigot and release bearings replaced.

The issue: Under heavy load (eg soft sand & low tyre pressure) the clutch slips. After a while, once it has heated up, it slips to the point where there is no drive to the wheels. I'm thinking it could be the flywheel being machined past it's minimum but i'd like to get other opinions on the matter.

what gearing motor tyres are you running?

and my 6 month old clutch slip's on the beach with 31s, a 1L case and pulling a pajero out....

Running standard gearing, 30's and standard 1.3.

What brand of grease did you use on the clutch?

Came with the kit. Exedy stuff in a small white packet. I didn't use much, only just enough to lubricate.

did you use a grease remover after the clutch was machined?

Was the height difference between the pressure plate bolt up surface and the clutch plate surface maintain as per OEM.

did you clean the flywheel with a solvent to get all the greasy marks of it before installing the clutch??? Is your rear main/dizzy /g/box seal leaking???

Nah no oil leaks. I got the clutch off and there were two burn marks on the flywheel, both on opposite sides. It would appear that it that either a) the flywheel has warped after doing about 1500km of highway and high resistance driving (beach) or b) they did a shitty job with the machining. I took it back today and they're going to fix it up free of charge. I reckon what I could've done was ride the clutch without knowing (foot resting on the pedal), clutch heated up, flywheel heated up and the flywheel warped. Or at least that's the only thing I can think of that could've caused it.
