Post subject:  Brake Vacume Hose

Hi all, I am currently rebuilding a 92 SWB Sierra 1.3L and am having some trouble chasing down a Brake Vacuum Hose the one I have has hardened and has split at one end. I went and spoke to the local Suzuki Spare parts dealer (useless idiots) and they said that they only way to get one was to order direct from Japan and it would be around a 2 - 6 mth wait. If any of you have had to replace one where did you get it from or what would you do?

Thanks, Barkyman

You can buy vac hose, heater hose etc from Repco or any similar store, as long as its not a custom moulded hose that is

Yeah it is custom moulded and it has a spring part of the way through it to keep the shape I think??

I often find that my local AutoPro store can get parts quicker and cheaper than the dealers.... Worth a look!

You really really really should get a hose with the check valve in it. Cause if you stall your engine and you don't have one, the force you need to apply to the brake pedal will go up tenfold...ish. Not good if you aren't expecting it.
