On Wednesday I put a new water pump in and tightened up my right hand side bearing.

Now when I go for a drive, I get a wicked cracking/crunching sound but I just cant pick it. It doesnt happen when the car is stopped and revving.
Sounds like a branch full of leaves crunching away under my car.

Does anyone have any idea what it could possibly be? I was supposed to be going to beachport tomorrow night, but I highly doubt it now.

You can't hammer them out/in with a bar?

you dont need a press, pull the hub off and remove the big circlip in the back with some screwdrivers, suport the hub with some bricks and hammer the old bearing out, then use the old outer race to push the new one in, they arent that tight really

The wheel I thought it was coming from sounds fine. Bit of play but no weird sounds other then the brake on the disc.
