hey,

after going out saturday and my clutch stopping working i pulled the gear box off today. I found that the clutch realease bearing wasn't connected to the clutch fork. The small pin that is pressed into the clutch fork and holds the realease bearing has snapped off.

How do i go about fixing this?

Remove the fork assembly and punch out broken pin, then press in a new piece of hardened steel...
OR
Remove fork and replace with another 2nd hand one.. Probably easier..
Removing the fork is a bitch of a job. Have fun.

replace gearbox if u have a spair much easyer

drill it out and weld a bolt same dimensions through, or just bolt the bearing on through the hole, just make sure it doesnt come off, use heaps of locktite and a spring washer or nylon locking nut.
had a big night so this may not make sense

i was having a look at it and can't really work out how you remove the fork assembly. Any tricks to getting it out?

just drill it and put a bolt in

managed to press the old pin out wth some multi grips. Then got the pin out of the 1L gear box i got off you MrRocky and pressed that in.

All fixed i think :/ ...will get a new throwout bearing tomorrow and pop the gearbox back in...fingercrossed the gearbox is all good, i did have to drive pretty far home with no clutch at all.

I would have used some locktite when you pressed it in.
Glad to here my 1ltr box came in handy for something, im guessing it never did end up in the LJ

yeah i put a little locktite in there, hopefully it holds.

na, i'm going to use the orginal LJ box with your 1L engine.
