Just wondering what year and model suzukis have single point injection? Also if the ecu etc workWhen put in a sierra?

I know I want to run tbi but I wasn't sure if it was easier to get wiring harness and everything or whether people run after market computers. Main reason for this post was to find what model cars to search for to get the parts I need. But if anyone on here has the parts that they wanna sell that would be easier.

I'm running TBI on mine. Suzisport had the throttle body and manifold sitting in their shop and made out like its not an uncommon item to have. Maybe give them a call. I did make up my own loom and run it off a megasquirt DIY ecu though so I can't help you with the availability of stock ecu's or how they run the 1.3. It was easy to get the stock injector to idle well on the 1.3 so there's definitely no problem with the injector being too big. It's now running my 1.6 but I'm planning on swapping to port injection.

just remember if you plan on getting the vehicle engineered an aftermarket ECU may not be allowed.

I wasn't aware of that Joe. Is it to help maintain emission standards, or is it something entirely different?

oh really joe, i was going to run a haltech ecu as it was recomended by the motor builder i use, he said fully tuneable to do whatever, but neglected to mention this.... why?

maybe because most people don't know or don't care. get caught with an aftermarket ecu etc and you could face very hefty fines from your local epa.

general rule is you have tou use a system that was available here and is identical as an engine here. or you can run any petrol from any country, if its on straight gas only.

and for diesels, once again must be a motor that was offered here, if not you will have to fork out upwards of 4g to do an epa test.

i've had to work on cars with aftermarket ecu's......was never impressed.

I was under the impression that the EPA emissions test was free if u go and get it done for engineering. And aftermarket computer is ok aslong as it passes emissions and can be locked

thats for a test for an aussie spec motor (measuring CO at idle). an import not to aussie spec will require a 'particulate' test.

My mate got his skyline done not that long ago and that was free and it's a jap import. Might be different in nsw as his went on a Dyno and readings for nox and co2 etc were taken
