i replaced my front wheel bearings today but have come across a problem when you take of the hubs there is a spring behind the plate which looks like it pushes a gear back and forward which locks your hubs in. the problem i have they dont unlock now the gear doesn';t pull back, is the gear ment to some how attach the the spring, ?

yeah it does, you screw the spring into it a bit if i remember right.

Ive only pulled down these hubs once before, so im a bit fuzzy on the details

Its too hard to explain how to reset the hubs with words, you really need someone to show you

ok from what i can see you need to get the spring to sit inside the gear, is that correct
