who can tell me the difference in ratio's between 1.0 and 1.3 also are they a bolt in mod or is there some fab needed looking to reclame low range and was hoping to not have to go as far as 500 600 on reduction gears cheers |

dont know the ratios.. they are a bolt in job. no fab work required your better off saving the $$$ and getting reduction gears, they are well worth the money. |

you can get 4:6-1 and 4:16-1 if you don't want 6:5s but if you are running anything bigger then 31s or you do anything major you want 6:5s. They are a good price right now. From low range |

I have the 1l (no light) in my 1.3 NT pushing 31" You need to have parts the driveline from both in order to connect the 1l side up against the transfer case and yours from the rest. You take apart all the unis, and use the flanges and caps/bearings from the 1L driveline and make them into a hybrid joint, the 1L case has a smaller shaft and bolt pattern, but the inside of the uni is the same size. I really should have taken some pictures. Basically you end with all the unis that are attached to the transfer case being half 1l and half 1.3l. I plan on rebuilding my busted leaking 1.3 Tcase with rockhoppers eventually, but for now the 12% reduction is good especially for $100 vs the $600 for the rebuild/rockhopper kit I am hoppy for now. |

For the price of finding a set of used 1.0 gears and then mucking around changing flanges (or unis) on your case anyway, you may as well stump up a couple of hundred more for some brand new gears that will give you far superior improvement. The 4.16 gears are hugely underrated in the improvement they will make to a mildly modded car. 4.16 gears kits (ie w/ Gaskets, seals and needle bearings) are currently on sale from Lowrange Offroad for US$415, and with the great exchange rate at the moment you should be able to land them here for around AU$500 |

Depends on what size tyres you are running, how much highway driving you are doing, and what sort of wheeling you do.... |

Hi guys sorry to hijack this thread but I have been running the sums for what I'm looking at running just wanted your thoughts on this set up and how you think it would drive on and off road? and also do you think 33" tyre's are to big for this set up?

Highway cruising with be approx 3900 rpm Mine with stockies cruises at about 4100, the engine doesnt seem to mind it too much and fuel economy isnt too bad either. Im running stock diff ratios, 6.5 and 32" pedes (33.7" OD), however I rarely use 1st low. It may be a clutch burner in some off road circumstances (crawling). But I dont see much of an issue with it really. |

I have 5.14's in the TC and 32" Pedes and found when it was locked front and rear 1st low wasnt low enough when wanting to crawl up steps and larger rocks. |
