Does anyone know where I can get interior plastic replacement parts for my SWB Hard Top 1988 Vitara rebuild ????

What would be really cool is to be able to buy a complete new interior in Black ? -

Also a roof liner ? - Mine is a bit droopy (the roof liner!) .... I could reinforce it and dye it back - I'm sure it would come up like new ...

Cheers

Re, roof lining…

You could use marine carpet. Flexiglass use it to line their canopies sometimes.

Had an extra though… You could use self adhesive velcro to secure it. The you could take it down to wash it or air it out?

i just took my interior all out, rubbed it back, used a plastic primer and plastic paint and it came up a treat as black

I am sure BlackZookie has painted his brown interior black on his vitara, surface preparation would be the key to getting it to stick.

oh yeah i think this might be in the wrong section?

yeah i did that with my dash and it has come up sweet. the paint is pretty soft though so you have to let it really dry out for more than a day or it will crack when you re-install it into the car.

Yahoo - Suspension arrived from Calmini in the USA today - ORDERED IT LAST FRIDAY!! - and it was delivered today, apparently using UPS's cheapest international service. As it was all under $1000 AUD, there was no import duty, tax, or GST payable ! ... The kit I got was the 2" kit as I need to get the car registered and will need a roadworthy (Here is QLD, 2" is max)....

Tyres were going to be Maxxis Bighorns at 235 75 15, however after a rethink I'm going for the 215/75 15 BFGoodrich Mud Terrain KA TM2's ...

Photo of the Calmini kit attached ....

Also, upholstery is ready for collection - so that will be next week when I get time ---- he is recovering the roof liner for me too....

Suspension, Upholstery, Tyres ! - there goes another $4000!!!!!

Total to spend is at about $8K .... so much for my $300 Vitara !!!
