Sorry to hijack the thread a little, but just to confirm,
The G16A engines, 8 valve is non-interference and 16 valve is interference right?

Definitely not interference. I know from experience. My timing shaft camshaft gear decided to detach itself  and previous stuffups with getting the timing right.
As for 16v I would guess that they are also not interference but I don't know.
