You may need to swap bottem pully's to, I could be wrong on that tho.

The swift water pump is not made to take the extra load of a fan, that's why you change em.

Swap the intake manifold& carb ... pretty sure the cino has the themostat on the wrong side

If you want to use the ribbed pulleys on the cino get a vitara waterpump pulley (that way you are set up for power steering or Endless air)

As well as the above , it is easier to use the crank and cam sprockets and timing belt , pullies etc from the old motor , the bottom sprocket on the 98 cino has 5 bolts and must use the 3pk pulleys , the sierra uses a 4 bolt pattern for the 11a0 style belt , if you want the multirib setup , you have to find a vitara water pump pulley that has the 4pk belt setup to use in conjunction with the 3pk setup the cino uses , along with a sierra water pump .

alternatively , you can use the entire 3pk multirib pulley setup , including the cino alternator , and cino water pump , but you will need a thermo fan.

hope this makes sense

I have been proven wrong again.

The internal's of the pump's are the same but the swift has a bugger flange, or hub.
so the pump it's self would easyly take the strain of a fan. :P

I like learning. :P 8)
