just wondering if any one is running a 180 holley on there 1.3 sierra? is this worth doing for a slight power gain just looks like a cheaper conversion than a weber. |

Like all other non zook carbs, you will find that it probably isn't gong to be that good off road with hills etc. I could be wrong though. There has been a bit of discussion lately about vitara carbies being used. Could be worth a look? Welcome to Auszookers also Cheers Rusho |

Cheers Rusho i agree my webber isnt the greatest off road, it definatly starves of fuel and stalls easier then the sierra carby, however if u give it some fuel on hills its fine, its mainly when your bouncing around and on an angle (my suspension is horrible and wouldnt help the situation at all) on road it is much better, fixed my fuel consumption issues and goes shit loads better. |

sorry to hijack but im looking into the same thing (power poost for 1.3 instead of 1.6 conversion) what carby would be the best for onroad economy but offroad durability (durability in the sence of less issues with float etc) thought it was related to this thread so didnt start a new one. cheers Jordan |

An answer to your actual question yes it will give you a noticable increase in power. The holley 180 is near identical to the weber anyway. I ran the weber and was quite impressed with its performance and reliability. Dan |
