Just wondering how high i can lift the old lj81 in the shackles before there is trouble?1inch or 2?

legaly as soon as u change the lenth ur looking for trouble

but most people just make there shackles 100mm long i think it adds like 40 or so mill to original length

but someone correct me if im wrong

Wharf don't waste your time with extended shackles, it is a dodgy old way of doing things, changes pinion angles, changes caster angle and makes car handle poorly. It is just wrong, my advise is don't do it.

Cool,ill spend my time in other areas.I have taken the fuel tank out.Its nackered.Any ideas of what other suzuki model tanks can be sourced easier?I will be moving the tank from behind the diff,to above and infront of the diff under the tray.

If you're moving the tank anyway, just put whatever tank you want in there.

If i could run it on gas i would just stick a couple of 9kg BBQ bottles in there.

Do the suzuki engines need any headwork to run gas or are they good to go?

You need head work if your going to run BBQ bottle's. :roll:

Ally head's have valve insert's in em, all good for lpg, ulp.

Ive filled of a bbq bottle, not a good idea to strap em to the car tho & DOT won't like it much either.
