To try and work through it all The carby is a swift 1.6 16 valve carby, many people say they dont exsist the Draglink between the wheels is standard and thats how they adjust, is the pitman arm (arm off the steering box) sort of centered when wheels are pointed straight ahead? The mount at the front is the standard steering damper mount, other end connects to teh pitman arm, your setup on the diff is far better the tank looks like somebody has had a go at lifting it up and have removed the stock tank mount / shock mount, it has had long shocks angled in on those unused mounts previously there are no steering bumpstops as such and you appear to be missing the suspension bumpstops, along with the extra spring perches on the top of your diff indicates it was once springover, that is the diffs were under the springs not above, would also explain the shock mounts (normaly the shocks mount to the ubolts plates I would say what you bought was once a lot more modded!! |

Thanks heaps for the info mate! Yer i did notice its had a SPOA at some stage, also the brake lines are about 6inches longer than they need to be so i knew she must have been huge in the past. Its good to know the drag link between the wheels and the other link from the pitman arm to the drag link are stock, need to order them asap to get the half a turn of play out of the steering. Once i purchase them i can get it aligned as well to fix the difference in turning circles. How do the bump stops mount to the car?? are they on the diff side or the chassis side? Will need to get some so i know what measurement shocks to get. |

your steering lock issue is because your steering dampener is bottoming out. |

Mmmm see now theres something i didnt take into account. Ill have to have a look at that tomorrow and make sure that isnt the case. Although it wouldnt surprise me to be honest, every other shock on the car has been poorly measured up and installed causing next to no suspension flex so why not let the dampner join the party..... |

The carby is a swift 1.6 16 valve carby, many people say they dont exsist not eddzackery royce. 16 valve carby does exist, but only ever as an import (this includes demos brought here by suzuki). they are a high pressure slide-type carby. they run the same pressures as an efi system, and instead of a butterfly they have a pressure controled sideways slide. |

Do you mean same fuel pressures as an efi setup joeblow?? Because it is only running a cheap facet type low volume / low pressure carby fuel pump?? Im keen to learn more about these carbys! |
