Poke the back end of the gearbox up onto the cross member first. Otherwise just pull the engine out

just replaced the clutch and i am at the stage where the gear box has to go back on, because the crossmember is welded on how do you get it on. i got it off by taking the clutch assembly off whats the best way to get it on? |

Mine was easy, just dropped it out and put it in. That was a Datsun Sunny though... What sort are you talking? |

x2 if you have the transfer out it is even easier cos there is a heap more room. |
