DON'T put longer shackles on a spoa vehicle (or any really). and no, will not give flex, mearly take some away.

Figure out what is holding your flex back. Have you checked that your shocks are the correct length. Post up some pics, showing your setup. Have you looked at longer springs/RUF?

In the end how much flex do you need. As long as you have decent flex, a set of lockers and crawler gears will make a much more capable rig than stupid amounts of flex that usually end up with you car falling over.

taking out leaves will help as long as your shock is up to it. i only run 3 front and rear with stock shackles and it flexs enough. ruf is quite simple.

I will have a RUF relocation bracket kit ready in 2 weeks. It makes it pretty much a bolt in mod.

Still gathering the costs ( not finished yet) but it should be less than a set of shackles

I take this would be for the back mount of the front spring bracket. How will the front shackle work as far as, will front mount need to be moved the get reasonable steering geometry back,

You don't NEED extended shackles for RUF. It is easier to use them, but I am trying to engineer a solution that will not reuire the use of extended shackles. You will ofcoarse be able to run extended shackles with this kit, but it will not be REQUIRED.

zuki: the brackets will maintain the factory diff location and castor.

Ok sweet, so what rear springs will need to be used STD rears or can Lifted rears be used (eg 2" lifted rear springs

Just drilling a few holes hopefully. I am yet to test fit it the kit so you will have to wait for the write up.

Its set up for STD rears, as 2" lifted rears up front can give the front a higher stance than std's when using 2"lifted in the rear. (hope that makes sense :? )

Pete,
I have tried STD up front and they were way to soft and the car just sunk real low so had to use 2" lifted to bring front up[ to level with the back, thats why I asked.

There is your problem 8) Old springs suck. I prefer new ones with a leaf or 2 removed.

Pete,
Here is a pic of my RUF using 2" lifted spring I actually got from you, a while ago. As you can sort of see there is not much if any difference in height between front and rear.

I wasn't being sarcastic I am really interested in your kits I was merely pointing out that I tried Old Std's and they were S@$T so I tried the lifted ones and it leveled it up good as.

You've got me wrong Dave. I was being serious :D I really like the hard tops :D

As for the springs, unfortunately there are infinate combinations of springs, but I can only pic one to base this kit around. At this point in time the kit has not been tested, so it may work out that it requires 2" lifted rears to get the desired result. We will have to wait and see.

Cheers
Pete
