What's the best location for a oil temp/pressure sender on the J20a?

I had thought about a sandwich plate between the oil filter and block but the filter would then hit the chassis. I'm not real keen on using a shorter filter as it would have to be at least 30mm shorter to fit.

I understand there is an oil pressure switch. Does anyone know where it is located and if an adapter plate could be used between the switch and block? Is the switch just an on/off switch and I assume it's for the ecu? Could a sender unit be used instead?

The oil pressure switch is located just above and behind the oil filter, if you remove the exhaust manifold heat shield you'll find it. It's an on/off switch that controls the oil pressure light on the dash and has no connection to the ECU.

It would probably not be a good location for either an oil pressure or temperature sender, due to the proximity of the exhaust - what I have done is run a copper line from the port back to a T on the firewall and the T then feeds the original oil pressure switch and a mechanical pressure gauge.

If you're looking for oil termperature I believe you're going to have to use a remote filter setup.
