I got a Exedy HD installed when I got the motor recoed.
A lot of people say stay clear of the HD clutch because their renowned for
snapping cables because there to stiff, but I can't feel any difference through the pedal at all.The clutch has some real bite to which I like.

The funny part was my Mrs opened the box and she said "look it's pink"
And I said "yeah all boxes are pink inside"
I had a welt from where she smacked me for about a week.

Thay are a piss easy box to get out, just take your time.
If it's never been out before, all the bolt's are going to be F*#KING tight.
I busted a Snap-on ratchet on a bell housing bolt.

I have an Exedy HD sports tuff clutch as well. It will be really sensitive when you first drive with it.

No doubt you will stall the Jimny a couple of times :)

Bloody good clutch so far.

they just bolt up dude, undo the bolts and wiggle it til it comes off.
also make sure you replace the pilot bearing at the same time.

found it. has a the same breather setup as the diffs.

just adjusted the clutch cable to see if that would make it at lest drivable (i'm not driving it atm) and now it squeaks on the way in and on the way out. not a very nice sound i can tell you that..... i don't get as much slip out of the clutch though.

should i drive it like it is :?

Why not. I drove a f100 for 20k with the throw out bearing seized, would ust it to take off then clutch less the rest, including down shift..

I would be interested to see how you go with it, any problems or if it was easier then you expected.

Post subject:  Re: the jimny needs a new clutch (gearbox out)

clutch is all done =]

it's heaps better!
the pedal is a little heavier

it was a real pain getting the gearbox in and out..
in hind sight i probably should have just slid the gearbox back and then do the clutch with the gap.

clutch got a real workout at MOA this weekend.
very very happy
