prices do sound a bit exxy.
sierras tend to leak from the oring in the dizzy.. thats like 2 bucks isnt it...? but maybe something more sinister.
transfer bearing kit would be round 250 mark. get a few quotes mate.. even source the parts yourself and then get someone to do the job.
wheel bearings need adjusting or replacing?

oil leak is normally an o ring round the dizzy, easy fix your self if you are not bad with a 12mm spanner and pay attention to what you are doing (putting the dizzy in where it came out)

wheel bearings, yeah well they suck, press fit in and not really servicable

transfer, get a second hand one and swap it yourself, I might have a good one for sale soon  (would be interested in how they figured the transfer bearings are gone and not the gearbox

price sounds a bit steep , take it elsewhere , top dollar be more in the vicinity of $1500 this is assuming the worst case scenario of ...
1.oil leak near dizzy could be fuel pump (if its carby)
2. both wheel bearings need replacing
3.transfer case needs replacing.

So yeah i would be getting a second quote.

Yeah the Oil leak seems to be coming from the Distributer area..

The Reason is why the transfer is being suspected is because the Shaft from the front of the Transfer to the Back of the front diff is making a noise when being rotated by hand... Anyway, it was probably due for a Transmission service anyway...

The Quote was done as a Huge over price in case their is more problems then first detected and since he has been the family mechanic for 9 Years and he uses a Stockman as a Paddock Basher, we trust him..

He also did a service on my Old mans 2 Door 91 Carby Vitara and gave it new Shocks, Bearings,Pads and Drums for like $1500..
So I trust him.. not only that he goes easy on the labour charges..

Good news will be that once this is done, she will be almost ready to take me where I wanna go...

Got the Bill finally for all the work the Mechanic Done and my Estimation was out...

Check this...

$2293....

This included a Transfer case rebuild.. Both Front Hubs Replaced and every seal also replaced.. Front Diff Bearings also done..
Plus the usual Diff Oils, Gearbox and Brake Bleeding and all that..

So now to part with a Kidney just to get the bill paid..

It was done by my Mobile mechanic we dropped the car off and he had it for 3 weeks... biggest problem was the importation of parts from Japan...
