I've switched to straight gas, and in the process of stripping the carb back to the bare necessaties needed in a throttle body. Pollution bits are already off, now it's time to identify the rest of the components.

All I need (or want) is the secondary throttle plate control, and the idle up control. I'm guessing these are the two vacuum diaphragms bolted either side of the carb, but I just want a second opinion to confirm before I throw away possibly needed parts.

Also looking to clear up the throat, so if you can remove the main jet, let me know how. Not sure what the two hoses marked with a green X in pic #4 are either, but they're now part of my LPG setup - just wanting to know their function.

purple section with two hoses marked xx in pic 4 is the coolant for auto choke.

Yellow in pic one is the part which stops it stalling if you close the throttle/butterly valves quickly.

orange in pic 1 is the vacuum to pull the choke butterfly valve open.

red in pic 1 allows secondary jet to open at wot.

green in pic 3 is the fuel float breather

purple in pic 3 is choke set up

i dont see a pic of the idle up control. it would be just around the corner of the yellow section on pic 1
it appears your idle up has been removed already going by pic 3.

i have taken all the orange, blue, purple and green bits off my carb and it still
works well. i have a thread around some where where i kept taking bits off
until it stopped.

the idle up is normally under the needle and seat, i threw it away as well

jdk81 is pretty much on the money with all that info.

yellow is called a "hot idle compensator"
blue in pic #5 is an idle up for aircon .

see the orange circuit , that little "filter" (suzuki call it a jet assembly) is the wrong way around , the green bit to the top , its what opens the choke slowly and partially on startup .

green in pic 3 is the bowl vent .

if you dont need the choke , you can get rid of orange and purple and the water hoses

you put too any bits up at once, your gunna get confused

Yellow has something to do with high temp running and mixture adjustment, not needed

red is vacuum secondary throttle plate, you need this or you need a way to make it mechanical

orange closes the choke under high load, if you have removed the choke flap you dont need this

purple and green is auto choke, I would keep this so you can still have a fast idle when cold, if you remove it dont loop the hoses blank them off

cant remember what blue does, where does the hose go?

also your accelerator cable is too tight , and someone dodged your mixture screw ..

Why's there a filter on the choke butterfly valve (orange in above pics)? Just for my info, can I just run a solid vacuum line from A to B, or do I need this filter?

where does the other end of the pipe from the secondary go? mine came off and havibg trouble
