Can anyone tell me where the vacuum port which is blanked off with a screw here is supposed to connect to?

I think it runs to the top side of your airbox filter... Maybe someone else can confirm that - mine is blocked off like yours. |

I have both vacuum ports on the top of the airbox already connected to other things... |

I just checked my old photos when I first bought mine - it was definitely running to the airbox, and had a mini filter with an orange cap midway along the line. Can't say the connection was right - just the photos i'm going off. |

Well on double checking, turns out the airbox was connected to the hose, the hose to a filter, the filter to another hose and the hose sorta wound its way round and went nowhere. Cheers che_guitarra! |

Pretty sure that is the vacuum supply port for the hot/cold intake air mix system. It ran crom the vacuum port, to a one way valve (the black/orange thing you though was a filter) then to a bi metalic switch on the air box lid, then to a vacuum acutator on the airbox intake snout. Layto.... |

are there any problems with blocking that one off? im going to be doing it in the next few weeks, putting in a new air box, fully waterproof, perfect for when i eventually get a snorkel... |

I think it just supplies the vacuum for the valve on the entry side of the intake. Take the intake off and it'll serve no purpose. |
