Under the dash, passenger footwell, behind the carpet, near the heater box - about the size of a D cell battery. Might be mounted to the firewall, or might be hanging loose.

Before replacing - try unplugging/replugging it... mine had the same problem and this got it working again. Has worked fine ever since.

Can't miss it - I even went to Repco and had the exact part in my hand, just short of loose cash at the time to buy (actually costs $25 if I remember right).

I know it sounds strange, but I pulled it off and the blinkers still worked. Plugged it back in and then the blinker speed corrected itself. Don't ask me how/why/what... I can't explain.

do you have speakers in the bottom of the dash joe? if so its behind the drivers side one

ive seen this few times and on mine as well, I would rip your column shroud off and give the switch a clean with contact clean as well before spending money
