I just picked up a 96 LWB stockman (keep an eye out for it in the rigs section) and I was wanting to sand down the well in the back and paint it or spray it with something thats a bit more heavy duty, similar I spose to the body or chassis tar or sealant that is used on wheel arches, etc.

Something along those lines, has anyone done or know of anything like a spray on lining at all....or would that stoneguard stuff just be sufficent??

I have been using water based stone guard, you get it in a 1 litre container and use a special application gun/nossle that srews into the top, you can paint whatever colour over it. I have tried the spray cans but they don't give as good a finish.

Supercheap Auto now have a ute tray paint kit, it is a specific 2 part paint system for ute trays, it is apparently very good, hard wearing and stays on awesome. It also has a textured non slip finish and come in a few colours, I think its about $140.

For a roughy I have also used industrial hammer finish paint which again is pretty hard wearing.
