hey guys, on the way to work today i got driving and about 50 meters down the road all power is lost, As in engine cut out, No stereo, no lights, no immobilizer flashing light or anything...


Of course being a new job i had to be there so i left my car tucked up on a empty block at the bottom of hill, and got a lift to work,

and now as i get in the door there is no sunlight and i cant be bothered getting out there with a torch, So just looking for pointers as to things to check,

is there a main relay/fuse that i should check that would cut all power to everything? and where would it be


any advice is appreciated

There is a cable that goes to the positive terminal, not the big one to the starter, if thats disconnected then all power is lost to the loom and no go go.

Other than that i don't know! others may though!

foonji. that does seem to make sence, as when i was still under throttle the stereo kept turning itself on and off, so it does seem plausable will check it out tomorow night.

fuse link is was first idea, But couldnt see one. if u have any idication of where to check please let me know.

The fusible link will look just like cable coming off the battery..

Shood be green or blue in colour.. It will be about 2 inches long..


Edit: I would check to make sure your alternator is charging..

Yeah alternator is charging check last week after i put my new HID spotties on and its also brand new.

you probably burnt out the fusable link wiring or some dodgy install of said HID wiring to the battery caused it

My wiring is flawless mate haha, all done properly.

ill check that fusable link, must have just missed it in the stress of the mornings rush, Running late for new job, Car braking down AGAIN, and having buses almost run me over... was great fun.


will be rewiring that part of car this sunday as all the cable is Old and rotting away (not literally) but will be relocation battery(s) into the back of car into the draws im making and using the old battery spot for mounting air compressor&tank. (not running air lockers but an old setup i had left over from old lux that ran dual air lockers)

alright well for anyone else who gets this issue, solution was simple, Disconnect the quick connection thing and get rid of years of crudd and corrosion off the contacts and bobs ur uncle,

of course im going to be replacing the plug as its fooked, but it got the car rolling again.
