Post subject:  body lift question, NEW what to look for body lift?
how much does a 50mm body lift change the centre of gravity usually? is there a dramatic increase in body roll? im thinking about sorting one out for my SWB grand vit and i dont want my car to become to end over end down a hill, im currently running a 60mm suspension lift and 30s

it's only 50mm... don't worry about it. you will probably only notice that it's not scrubbing tyres anymore and that you can work on it sooooo much more easily...

i didn't notice a difference on my sierra. the center of gravity doesn't change
as much as the body lift because all the heavy stuff doesn't move.

ok for the body lift on a GV what are things i will need to watch out for, the normal

wires
lines going to anything
coolant hoses
hand brake cable (im a little worried about this as its pretty tight as it is)

is there anything else iv missed off the top of my head, also has anyone who has already done a body lift on a gv tell me if the gear sticks hit at all on the tunnel?

maybe bump a PM to muguwi as he bodylifted his GV.

does yours have the strut brace?

What about in a coily? Does it make much of a difference cog wise?

bot really mate... you may notice small change to it.... but it would be very small.

you could always offset the change with some larger off set rims and bigger tyres........

Steering shaft not being long enough and center console getting in the way of 2nd, 4th and reverse after lift are issues I've read about

there was a bloke that was selling one of those extensions just like that one on ebay a while ago :wink:
