have installed a couple in a few different cars.. and have seen people do it as well.. they can be a night mare to set up properly. the ones i have seen use a pickup off the tailshaft so the cruise know what speeds to do.. but thats just my experience with them. i wouldnt bother with it. use a stick on the accelerater pedal if you want cruise |

Command is a good brand, go for one with an electric actuator not a vaccum one and if they have an option for a pad with present speeds go for that, easier than trying to set it at a speed you might get away with not using the magnets on the driveshaft for teh speed pulse if you set up the diy VSS of jnr zooks too |

yeah command is the cheaper option, the other one has a pad. I can't justify spending that much on something im not really going to die if i don't do. |

Cruise control? Foot flat = almost the speed limit all the time. Take a brick with you. |

Have you seen the idle up screws on diesel trucks? I have seen them on sierra's, but on the gearstick so it holds the idle when crawling. Of course they are not stoppable if you hit the brake, but its a start. |

Early landys had the best, inside the cab, a manual hand throttle that could be locked into place at any rev setting. |
