Ok so i spent the best part of the weekend installing my hilux sound system into the suzuki, man what great tunes it pumps now.

Anyways so now i see why guys throw in the ford alternators, the zook struggles with every beat of the music haha. So i charged up my battery via alternator for at least an hour and then all of a sudden the car just turned off??

I checked all my earthing cables and they seem to be alright and i let it sit for about ten mins then turned it over and it was struggling to idle?? However when i turn my dash lights on or parkers it picks the idle up to normal.

So atm im thinking it could be the alternator, ill be testing it with a multi tomorow. otherwise any more ideas what it might possibly be????

Idle up sounds as if its working as it should. Check for vac leaks as a leak is more noticeable on normal idle (850rpm). Possible semi blocked idle jet...

I have "been around the bush" with a similar issue on mine, and my alternator seems ok..
