G'day Zookers, So the rear drums & shoes on my S420 are looking rather 2nd hand after last weekends mud run (and probably all the other mud runs), my brake shoes were low & now they're non existant due to the amount of slurry floating around & the drums look worse. No one has a listing for new drums for any of the Vitara's, I can pick up a good set of 2nd hand drums that are able to be machined but they are of the LWB 2.0 V6 S4620, I am sure that they are the same as the SWB SV420... If anyone can confirm this before I grab them & send them off to be machined that would be great. Cheers |

Dont think ive ever seen you ask a vitara question before Gus your usually answering them I would think they would be the same. The 1.6 Swb and Lwb rear brakes are the same but different on the front |

Leave the drums in the past and swap up to disc rear. I did it and let me tell you, I would never go back to the drums. The brakes feel 100% better and you can pull up so fast you'll need a bullbar on the rear bumper in traffic. |

The rear end of the SV's are the same as the SQ's which are different to the SE's Yours will have the 4 bolts in the axle as per the Vitara Disk kit that BenT does, unfortunately it doesn't suit my Vitara. |

I would think they would be the same. The 1.6 Swb and Lwb rear brakes are the same but different on the front the SV's are bigger again from what I can work out & the larger brakes carried over to the GV's |
