Hey all went out 4 a wheel today and burned my clutch out pretty well so am looking for a heavy duty clutch (exedy???????) am wondering if any one knows of any brands that are reasonably priced but more importantly capable of taking a fair bit of abbuse Cheers Sean |

Excedy works well but still any clutch will die if its continuously slipped. What size tyres are you running and do you have xfer gears already? |

tyres are 30x 9.5 on a 15 x 7' rim transfer gears are next on the agenda sorry for the newb question but what do transfer gears have to do with the equation |

gears mean you can go slower. and thus dont need to slip the clutch |

Putting bigger tyres on increases the gearing. Higher gearing means more clutch slip and wear. Try taking off in 4th all the time in a normal car and see how well the clutch lasts. Its the same principle... |

Hi all, I got my standard exedy clutch kit for $140 from Northern Brake and Clutch in Melb, I believe they advertise on ebay, I went in person though. I didn't get price on heavy duty clutch after talking to bloke in shop and realising my drover will not be highly modified, he said because the clutch is cable operated you are better off with a standard clutch. Cheers Matt |

I run a stocker. locked, 33's etc. Some Heavy duty's will make the pedal solid, and on/off grippy feel. Mine only slips if i dump it on road from standing still. |
