hey all.

I have had my diff breathers in for a while now and I was wondering if anyones done a Jimny and managed to connect their transfer case to the rest of the Diff breather lines? And what you used to connect it? Be specific please!

So far the line runs from the rear diff along the rear drum brake cable and along the chasis (hydraulic lines) - T intersection at the transfer case thats closed off and then another T intersection near the front diff where the middle barb goes into the engine bay and terminates at a Ryco fuel filter - the last bit of hose goes to the front diff breather node.

Problem is that the transfer case breather thats working fine - this knob isnt long enough to put a hose or 90 degree barb onto it?

Does anyone have any ideas or know of any fittings that fit this breather that I can attach the last line onto it???

Cheers in advance.

Andrew

I'm not sure about the jimny ones, but with the Sierra one, I simply popped off the cap, got a 1/8 BSP tap (I think that's the right one) and taped the hole out. Then I installed a 5mm, 90 degree barb, onto which i put some 5mmID clear hose.

yeh when you pop that cap off it leaves a collar thats inset of the case, without ripping this out looking for more of something that will attach onto this? Rather than tapping and threading - future issues come to mind...

My last resort is getting a bit of plumbing pipe (brass) and getting that onto it and then attaching the rest of the hosing onto it...

Thanks Lump.
