Neither.....you need to sell it to me!!! Pretty sure 1.3 case. Could be wrong though, it's kind of a 50/50 chance isn't it!

Maybe /maybe not.

31 Zook, don't be detered, properly has a scale of 1 to 10 with most things, I have had a couple of these before the availability of better stuff.

The first gear set was done by Zenith Engineering and lasted just less than three outings, second one was done by Milne Engineering and was punished for years, as far as I know it could be still going.

To be fair to Zenith it was a one off and Milne had the hindsight of seeing the broken one before he did our second attempt.

haha you guys are funny

Um, i got off work early to come home and put it all together :D very excited, can't wait for it to cool down so i can get to work :D i have some parts on there way to restore the 1L case to it's former glory, and build my rocklobster. will post pic's and tell all how i go :D

And btw the welded gear i got is TIG'd together, while it's just a form of welding the bead and neatness of it makes me think it was done by a engineering shop....

quick update, mum took the camera to canberra and i have a $60 phone without camera, so no pics, sory fellas.

she is all together, i printed off the picture 303zuke posted up and stuck it on my wall, i pretty much built it off of that and the fsm i have, i managed to press bearings onto the wrong input shaft.... and i spent over an hour trying to get the bearing out that sits inside of the output shaft (it lines up the front drive to the rear) i didn't know where it was till nik showed me  just gotta finish the gaskit goop, build a set of twins for it then buy some 29s for it then she will be ready :D

The series 1 rockhopper I have was one of the first and its a welded gear and I held up fine to 33 lockers just I wanted more so I got the 6.5s.
I think that gear was a "proper one" not a home made one.
Nik
