hi all,

second weber related thread, This time just pics of your set up, with cable mounting and other related things like vacuum line blockages and other.

thought this would probably come in handy to more then one of the other people on here. as im sure others will do the same as me and buy a carb from the quokka/trading post and not have any diagrams

i just used the stock throttle cable brackt with some cutting n bending & blocked off both of the vacuum lines coming to & from the stock carb, re routed the water choke hoses so they bypass the weber, goes like a rocket, looks like i fluked it first time

I am also thinking about getting a weber carb as my one is due for a rebuild or replacement, so while doing my research i found found this

http://www.suzukiinfo.com/sierra/weber.zip
The full Sierra/Vitara Weber Manual.

Most of my webber stuff is on Outerlimits in the sierra bible. Been quite some time since i ran mine but i still have it in the shed with all the offroad mods. Just needs new throattle shaft seals.

Used the stock throttle cable and just bent up a bracket mounted to the carb base.

there's a TON of weber info here:
http://forum.outerlimits4x4.com/viewtop ... d6#p351595

i've lost my old pics unfortunately... but it was pretty much the same as above, except i ran the chrome disc thingo on top with the big round paper filter which is about 50mm tall all up.

Biggest problem with this setup is water in the engine bay, and any dust/mud clogs the filter really fast.

Why do you have a brake line g/clamp in your eng bay & how the does accelerator feel with the cable at the angle??

Yatzee! Your name will amongst the great ones. Einstein, Galileo, Armstrong, Billy the Kid, Santa, and Zoook!

Been to this site before but never looked under the sierra section.
Wish I had this when I first bought my Weber!

Cheers for the link!

That was initial install, bent the bracket the straighten the cable a bit more than whats shown there. No issues on the cable, on the weber throttle movement was sooo much lighter and easier. Clamping off fuel line in the pic, think i was draining the bowl.
