Post subject:  wyyyyyyy...ing noise

hey guys need a bit of help just put a weber 32 36 carby on my sierra, started her up at there is a very loud whyyyyyyyyning noise i can find where its coming from .... please help :)

is it like something is sucking in air (apart from the obvious places)? or more mechanical?

i also had this problem, when i rebuilt my motor is it a high pitched squeel. anyway i fixed the problem by putting small bit of silicone on all of the gaskets on the intake and adapter, and that fixed it.

spray something flamable around the carby. when the idle picks up you have found where it is leaking from

You didn't accidently bolt a supercharger under the carbie?

Your eng's asking why you fitted a weber.. :roll:
