Soo I've ended up with a set of extractors (maximum performance headers b) and will have second hand 2" exhaust (all going well) in the next week or so. The 2" exhaust has been made to fit up to the stock manifold. So my noob question is.. How do aftermarket extractors fit up to a 2" exhaust? Do i need to have it cut (obviously) and a flange weld to the exhaust and the same to the extactors? |

Pretty much yes. unless you want it welded straight together. |

You could always use a flex joint. It's probably a good idea. |

You definitly want to get a flex joint. Not only one of the easier solutions, but if your exhaust hits a rock or something it will bend back into place instead of just being bent. |

Flex joints welded or clamped on at each end? possibly another noob question.. Just googled exhaust clamps, can the exhaust be slipped onto the extractors tip, and clamped? |

flex joints are usually welded in from what ive seen. i would be getting the flex joint(s) welded in then have a flange on it so it all bolts together in 2 or 3 pieces |

Yep my extractors are just welded straight to the exhaust. Nothing fancy, but I must say it could look a lot better then the way it does. :S |

possibly another noob question.. Just googled exhaust clamps, can the exhaust be slipped onto the extractors tip, and clamped? Yeah that is how mine is done. IN hindsight its not the best way to do it IMO, just the quickest and easiest for the exhaust place |
