My 95 soft top had them in the back of the seats, I would assume hardtops would of been the same setup?

i know they are not the best suited car.

it would not be a designated child carrying car.

more of a to and fro car for work, 7km each way. and possibly picking up the soon to be arriving bub from nan's place 5 km from home.

i have a 4yr old and she bounces along in the work truck with no drama, she would actually love the hardtop, but i need to make sure they have a fixing point for a child restraint or 2.

I seem to remember my soft top seats having something on the back, they were the split type (not sure if they were fastening points). I've had some fitted for the third row seats of my Prado and had them certified (Qld), maybe talk to an engineer?

They should be engineerable.

Anything stronger than the existing seat mounting points in a sierra has to be better.

Normal seats are lucky enough to have 3mm sheet holding them at mounting points..

And the same with seatbelts!

I have 2 bench rear seats here. 2 different frame styles. None have any other bolt holes other than the seatbelt clip/receivers.

Unsure about later model split/fold sierra seats.

Are they tether points?

i would take the car to a capsule fitting business and get them to fit it however
my 4yo fits the sierra seats fine without a booster seat, actually i reckon a booster
seat would put his head up to high.
i would get the baby capsule fitted properly but.

My softtop has the fittings in the top of the seat. Pretty sur my hardtop coily had them above the door.
If you don't have them, just buy some rear seats that do.
