guys trying to get my choke working as it has not for some time now nd is a pain in the mornings atm to get warm.

i read a post by royce explaining how to do it below is ROYCE post can anyone by using the pictures also posted explain via text and pictures how to do this step by step as im a retard! bolded is the things im most confused about

if you can use ms paint or something highlighted where things are it would be sweet.

"ok to set the choke

STEP 1 with engine cold and the intake hat off, the flap should be closed, look at the little gear type linkage on the side that actuates it and you will see 2 lines, they should line up,

STEP 2 if not the tension is wrong, to set that look round the back/side of the carb where the water hoses connect and you will see a screw sticking out of a cylindrical chamber, turn that till they line up, now the amount of choke and time it stays on should be right

STEP 3 next the fast idle speed, have a good look at the throttle linkage and down out of the way youll see a screw you cant get at unless you are holding the throttle full open, thats the fast idle, to set hold the throttle open and screw it in a bit, let it go and start it up and see, I guess you want 1000-1200 rpm.

On pic 3.jpg what is the lever arm with the spring onthe left hand side it moves up when you accelerate

I broke the linkage down at the bottom car appears to run but not sure what that does as it's now hanging loose

That pushes a plunger that squirts a little fuel into the top of the carby when you open the throttle.

How the hell did you break that?
