Where can I get a crown wheel and pinion for the rear diff? How much should I expect to pay?

Also, on a scale of "changing a tyre" to "replacing a clutch", how difficult is the task to replace these parts?

get some one who knows how to set up a diff to do it.

Why not just grab an entire jimny centre from a wreckers and swap it in?
The cost for an entire centre is ~$250 last time I checked.
A new R/P costs more, plus you have the associated costs of new pinion seal, crush sleeve and having the backlash set professionally.

Install of an entire centre is easy, and only takes a couple of hours.

Get a complete centre from the wreckers.

shop around on price.

Make sure you get the same ratio.

This way you can fit it yourself with basic hand tools. If you remove the R&P's you will need to lap the diff and set backlash etc. Much more specialized.
