I got me new toy to Goolwa, and put the front bar on, and hooked up the indicators, had to hard wire one, the plug was gone, then found that my temp gauge decided that it didn't need to work, buger. I wasn't too peterbed about this as it was really cold, and I could tell the donks temp via the heater, hope-full that no hose would burst.

On the way home, my temp gauge decided that it had had enuf of being slak, and went back to work, but my low beam is now on holidays

WTF is going on, Im going to put some heavy duty starter leads on, and while doing that put on a same duty earth lead to the body, but don't think this will do much, just I like heavy duty.

So why is this going on, there is no real correlation to these happening except that they are electrical, was it just co-incidence that one would stop at the time another started ??

yeah... as you have stated yourself it is a bad eart problem some where. I would be checking carfully under the dash as a start. The HD cables can only do good too.

i had a problem like this aswell. it turns out i had a blown fuse. it didnt make sense to me but now its fixed. lol

I'm a good sparky, decided to add a on off switch for the thermo fan that is hard wired, drilled a hole in the switch area to the right of the dash, 4 squares, but, some bugger put the loom right in tight, drilled into it, now, lights on all the time, and without even going thru the rely ????

Got all wires back in order, piece of piss, all colour coded, nothing amiss, except the bloody lights, and still no low beam.

Its beer oklok.

An what is up with my low beam, grrrrr, I thought I was a reasonably proficient DC sparky, obviously I'm not.

I dunno, one day I will look at teh diagrams properly and suss it out but it makes no sense really

Thanks Royce, Suzi has a different find of wiring, had me and an auto sparky stuffed when I tried to wire my spottys, and failed, took it to him, he was stuffed too.

They were working, then when the temp gauge started, they stopped.
