Hey guys - im betting this is a common issue, and its one i always wanted to fix but never got round to...

In my sierra on a wet day i often find my foots slips up the clutch pedal till i hit the firewall with my foot... usually leaving my heel on the pedal rubber and the clutch only half depressed - kinda dangerous when you're pulling out into oncomming traffic and cant change gear to speed up =) haha

Anyway - how has everyone addressed this? my pedal rubber still has tons of grip on it, as do my shoes... lol

I was kinda thinking a small metal "stop" bolted/clamped to the pedal just above toe-height to stop my foot sliding up might work, would be about 30mm high off the pedal so the tip of my shoe hits it and cant slide up? Still, i'd rather make the pedal stickier.

Right now all i can do is blast the foot heater to dry the pedal and my shoe off, but its not an instant fix.

Hrmmmm

you could regroove it with a hacksaw blade.

grip tape will also work but mud n crap will take its toll on the grippyness.

glue a shoe to the top of the pedal, when you get in the car, place your foot inside the shoe and do up the velcro, or if your smart, do up the laces..

foot will never slip off again

thank me later :-)
