Post subject:  Max suspension lift for a GV

I know this has been done to death but I'm just clearing up a few things in my head.

What's the max suspsension lift for a GV without going down the Calmini path? I have an OME lift (35mm) atm and am looking at putting in coil spacers. I was thinking about getting an additional 20mm lift, which translates to 10mm spacers for the front and 20mm for the rear.

Is it possible to go higher then a 55mm lift concidering the potential for CV damage?

Does coil spacers make the suspension worse (perform worse?) or is it not just as good as longer coils?

Will I need camber adjustments bolts as well? I think Pedders does these and people have seen good results? Does someone know how much these cost?

The reason for this lift is so I can better departure angles since I'm always banging my H/R towbar and my OE fuel tank protection plate.

You need to talk to Bruce. He has a 2000 GV with Rancho rears & OME fronts it has nice flex..

I'm fairly sure you could go 50mm lift without fear of damaging your CV's as long as you dont go bouncing the thing and shocking them to death.

I installed a 70mm lift into my mates 98 Vitara King Coils & Spacers (Has same front end as a GV) and he has no worries. His CV's are on a better angle than mine due to the different lower control arms. & I've dropped my Diff 2" 8O have a look and see what you rekon.

You will need camber pins and they are not cheap.. I got mine from Pedders and they were $110.
