I just converted a jimny gearbox to suit a sierra ,to do this you need to swap the selectors from a sierra box, the jimny gearbox has a circlip on the back of the 5th speed cog which the sierra doesn't have ![]() I machined the sierra housing to suit and good to go![]()

Good work mate. Excuse my ignorance, but why? Is there any advantages? |

Cool! Do you have pictures of the original Jimny selector housing for a point of comparison? |

![]() Cheers for that! I've never seen a good picture of one before. Was wondering if using a Jimny rear housing on a Sierra gearbox might yield a better shifter position for use in an LJ (as compared to just whacking a Sierra 5 speed in one). Looks as if it might be OK |
