Though i might put this thread incase anyone else has a problem with a airlocker My front one has been in for 1 year exactly and it has just started to leak Pulled him out today still havent narrowed it down ive got a feeling it might be the U ring. Ive run it on the compressor on the diff out of the housing and used leak check on all the bits you can get to, even gone to ARB here and got replacement orings and fitted them. pulling the centre apart in the morning.... |

On advice from ARB i split the hemishere. One of the 6 bolts was cross threaded The U ring looked OK but there was a lttle bit off crap in there (locktite pipe sealer or thread tape??) anyway gave it good clean up. tested it and it doest leak now but Im sending it to nundah arb for warranty on the bolt.. |

yeah i agree they are a bit like like a modern car, good when theyre going. The locker was still operating at least. Dunno how many times today ive been reminded TJM dont have o rings. I guess a failure can happen anywhere in a drive train, mine was installation error (me) and the guy that built the locker wasnt quality savvy and stop when he made an error to replace the housing. |
